Where was the Percy Jackson and Olympian books written?

Rick Riordan, the author of the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series, was living in San Antonio, Texas when he wrote the first book, *The Lightning Thief*, in 2005. He continued to live in San Antonio while writing the rest of the series.

While he has since moved, the series is deeply tied to San Antonio, which is why it's considered the birthplace of the Percy Jackson universe.
