What has the author Lois Christian Randolph written?

Lois Christian Randolph (née Lois Christian Young, 1932–2009) was a Bahamian author, teacher, and cultural figure who wrote 14 books. She was born on New Year's Day, January 1, 1932, in Nassau, the Bahamas, and was raised in a Christian household. She attended Queen's College in Nassau and later studied at the University of the West Indies, where she earned a degree in English literature.

Lois began her career as a teacher, and rose through the ranks of education to become a school principal in the Bahamas. Simultaneously with her profession in education she began to pursue a career in writing, eventually becoming a celebrated author. Randolph also worked as a journalist for the Nassau Guardian and the Tribune, and was also involved with many community service activities, such as the establishment of the Bahamas Youth Orchestra and the Bahamian Artists' Association.

In 1969 her short story "The Legend of Sammie Swain" was published in Commonwealth Stories. Her first book, "The Talking Stone", was published in 1979, and her last, "The History of the Bahamas", was published in 1999. She was a founding member of the Bahamian Writers Association and served on the committee of the Bahamas Historical Society.
