Who was accused in The Crucible by Arthur Miller?
The character who is falsely accused of practising witchcraft and engaging in an affair with the devil throughout much of Arthur Miller's play "The Crucible" is Abigail Williams, John Proctor's former love interest. She ultimately accuses Elizabeth, Proctor's current wife, of performing acts of witchcraft, which results in Abigail and her followers accusing dozens of people.
