Nikolaus von Preradowitsch (1880–1953), also known as Nikola "Klaus" Graf [= count] Pre[ra]radovich, was a Styrian-Austrian and later Yugoslav and Croatian naval officer, engineer, ship designer, and sports leader. He was also an accomplished writer, producing a number of books and articles on engineering, naval tactics and strategy, and history. Additionally, he wrote some poetry and plays, and even attempted to write a novel.
