The Brothers Grimm (Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm) are well known for their collection of German fairy tales, including tales such as "Cinderella," "Snow White," "Sleeping Beauty," "Hansel and Gretel," and "Rumpelstiltskin." While some of these stories are of earlier oral tradition, the Grimms' collection made them widely popular and well known.
Charles Perrault was a French writer who is credited with popularizing many famous fairy tales, including "Cinderella," "Sleeping Beauty," "Little Red Riding Hood," "Puss in Boots," and more. These stories were initially published in his works called "Histoires ou contes du temps passé" and "Contes de ma mère l'Oye."
