Innovative Painting Tools

Innovative painting tools were created to make painting simpler. They are tools that essentially make painting easier or more convenient. Indoor painting can be a challenge, therefore it's best to have tools that make for less dripping, spattering or stray paint marks.
  1. Paint Roller

    • Paint rollers are an excellent choice for painting high places. Most paint rollers are able to have a rod attached to them that allows you to reach ceilings and other high surfaces. Paint rollers also create a very even coat because of their design and texture. They are typically made from fiber or urethane foam and are shaped like cylinders. Paint rollers come in a variety of sizes and sometimes come in painting kits with more than one roller included. Find them at hardware stores such as the Home Depot or at online retailers such as Amazon.

    Sponge Paint Brush

    • Sponge paint brushes are typically shaped like ordinary paint brushes, but they are made from sponge or sponge-like material. Sponge paint brushes allow for a more even texture and coat than traditional paint brushes, because they don't have individual hairs that can separate and cause stray marks. Like ordinary paint brushes, they come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Depending upon the size of the job, it may be best to have several sizes of sponge brushes available because each area of the painting surface may call for a different size. They sometimes come in painting kits that can be found at most hardware stores.

    Painting Pads

    • Painting pads are foam pads, usually with an attached handle, that are usually used to get into tight spaces such as corners, vents and heat registers. They are flat and therefore less likely to spatter or drip.
