Avery Berkel L130 Instructions

The Avery Berkel L130 compact digital indicator attaches to a scale to measure loads as small as a few grams to several tons. Installation is straight-forward and only takes a few minutes. You may measure items in grams, kilograms, pounds or tons by selecting the unit of measurement with a graphical keypad interface. Additionally, the unit shows the date and time along with the weight for added convenience. With only five buttons, the device operates simply, efficiently and effectively.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the male serial port from the Avery Berkel L130 to the female serial port on the scale.

    • 2

Clear the top of the scale of any debris or objects that would affect the weight of the scale.

    • 3

Press the first button marked "0" with an arrow on either side to zero-out the scale. This ensures that the scale is properly calibrated.

    • 4

Use the "Tare" button which looks like a letter "T" with arrows on either side to adjust for the weight of a container. Put the empty container on top of the scale, and then press the "T" button. This zeroes-out the weight and makes it possible to weigh the contents of the container without including the weight of the container.

    • 5

Push the "B/G" button to toggle between the gross weight and the net weight. The net weight (B) is the contents of the item without including the container. The gross option (G) shows the entire weight, including the weight of the container.

    • 6

Print your results to a connected external printer using the key that looks like a circle with a dot in the center and a line below. A second serial cable makes connecting to an external printer possible.

    • 7

Power the device on and off by selecting the final button on the right of the device. This button has several dots that form the shape of a triangle.
