How to Make a Pocket Poster

Pocket posters are hanging wall storage units for a variety of small items that helps clean up and organize the clutter at home, school or an art studio. Pocket posters are easy to create and complete in less than an hour. Storage includes anything from small art tools, like paintbrushes, to kitchen utensils. The open style for storage allows an easy way to find a needed item. The pockets may also hold small plants to add warmth to a room.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine the type of pocket poster to create, such as pockets to hold plants, art material, school supplies, like pencils and pens, or name tags.

    • 2

Purchase a poster board and plastic sleeves from a local store in an appropriate size and color. Plastic sleeves come in notebook paper sizes and disc sizes.

    • 3

Decorate the poster board any way you like that is appropriate for the use. For example, a plant poster could have drawings of plants or direction on how to take care of plants.

    • 4

Secure the plastic sleeves on the poster board either in neat rows and columns or haphazardly for artsy effect. Use appropriate glue, such as craft glue for light materials, and wood glue or staples for heavier materials.

      Label the pockets if desired.
