Roll out two tan polymer clay balls 3 inches wide to form the head and the body of the French bulldog. Form two 1-inch triangular ears and place them side-by-side, roughly 1 inch apart, on one of the tan balls. Pinch and press them into shape.
Press the head onto the body. Build two tan balls that are 1-inch wide for the back feet for a sitting posture. Roll them into cylinders and push them into the bottom sides of the body.
Roll out two snake-like coils, 1/4-inch thick and 2 inches long. Attach them to either side on the shoulders just below the neck area to form the front legs. Form round paws on each of the legs.
Pull out a short and squat muzzle from the bottom center of the face. Add sagging jowls on either side of the muzzle. Use more tan clay if necessary to add crescent shapes for the jowls.
Roll out a small ball from the black polymer clay approximately 1/8-inch wide for the nose. Press it flat and attach it to the center of the muzzle between the jowls. Roll out another small black ball, approximately 1/8-inch wide. Press it into a rectangular shape for the area below the dog's nose. Attach it below the nose.

Press them into the face side-by-side and above the muzzle area. Form subtle wrinkles on the brow area and underneath the eyes.

Add more details with a clay knife tool. Refine the mouth area and poke in whisker holes with the tip of the knife tool. Shape the bottom of the head and neck area. Draw toes on each paw. Form wrinkles on the chest. Smooth out the back
Roll another coil, 1/8-inch thick and 1/2-inch long, for the tail. Twist it so it looks like a screw-tail shape. Press one end into the bottom back of the French bulldog.
