However, you can obtain the following ancient Pokémon:
* Omanyte and Omastar: These are found as fossils in the games, and are the only ones you can revive.
* Aerodactyl: This fossil Pokémon is found in the Fossil Maniacs' hideout and is the only one that doesn't require revival.
While not technically fossils, you can also encounter ancient Pokémon like Latias and Latios throughout the game, albeit in limited ways.
Keep in mind that SoulSilver doesn't allow you to find fossils in the traditional sense, but offers these ancient Pokémon as a means to experience their unique characteristics.
