What did Frankenstein invent and what time period?

Frankenstein did not invent anything.

The character of Victor Frankenstein, from Mary Shelley's 1818 novel *Frankenstein*, is a scientist who creates a creature, not an invention. He assembles the creature from body parts, using electricity to bring it to life.

The novel is set in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, during the Romantic period.

While the novel is fiction, it reflects the scientific and philosophical anxieties of the time, particularly regarding the limits of human knowledge and the potential dangers of scientific progress.
