How much was a ticket at the globe theatre in Shakespeare times?

The cost of a ticket at the Globe Theatre during Shakespeare's time in the late 16th and early 17th centuries ranged from one penny (for the lowest-priced "groundling" or standing room) to sixpence for a seat in the tiers of covered galleries. Occasionally a higher-priced "lords' room" was also offered, but its cost is unknown.
