What was the pomo tribes myth?

Pomo Creation Myth

In the beginning, there was only darkness and water. There was no land, no people, and no animals. Then, a great power called Wekesa created the world. Wekesa made the land, the sky, and the sea. He also made the people and the animals.

The Pomo believed that Wekesa was a very powerful god. They believed that he could do anything, and that he was the creator of everything in the world. They also believed that Wekesa was a kind and loving god.

The Pomo people had many different stories about Wekesa. Some of the stories told about how Wekesa created the world. Other stories told about how Wekesa helped the Pomo people in times of need.

The Pomo people honored Wekesa in many ways. They built temples to him, and they sang songs and danced in his honor. They also gave him offerings of food and drink.

The Pomo people believed that Wekesa was always watching over them. They believed that he was a protective god who would never let anything bad happen to them. They also believed that Wekesa would one day return to the Earth and bring peace and happiness to everyone.
