What is the religion of knaan?

Knaan is Muslim. He was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, to Somali parents. His family emigrated to Canada when he was 13 years old. He has spoken about his Muslim faith in several interviews. In a 2016 interview with The Guardian, he said, "I'm a Muslim, but I'm also a Canadian. I'm a citizen of the world." He also said that he believes in "the power of love and compassion" and that he thinks "religion should be about bringing people together, not dividing them."
