Why did the sumerians invented glass?

There is no evidence to suggest that the Sumerians invented glass. Although the Sumerians used glass beads, they are believed to have acquired the technology from other civilizations, such as the Egyptians or the Mesopotamians. The first known glass objects date back to around 3500 BC and were produced in Mesopotamia, not Sumer.
