Team Spirit Craft Ideas

There are many ways to generate and express team spirit; outward signs expressing the team’s members, colors or accomplishments are a way to not only build team spirit but also to express team spirit to others. There are many crafts that both adults and children can do to build team spirit and express themselves as team members.
  1. Team Photo Collages

    • Let your entire school or club know who your team is and what you have accomplished together with this low-budget photo collage. Take pictures of each of your team members. These photos need not be professional; if possible, capture each team member in a silly pose or sporting a sassy facial expression. Use poster board as your background and fashion photo frames out of construction paper and glitter or sequins and position the photos around the poster board. Cut out ribbons from the same construction paper. Show what awards your team has won on these DIY ribbons. Hang the collages around your school or club to let everyone know about your team.

    Team T-shirts

    • T-shirts are one of the most popular class or team crafts in the United States. This is also a project your entire team can collaborate on; hold a team meeting and allow your members to discuss your team’s t-shirt design. Discuss colors or patterns for your t-shirts, as well as any designs. Should the team name be on the front of the t-shirt? Should each team member contribute a signature on the back? Should there be a list of tournaments or awards somewhere on the shirt? Does your team need a catchy slogan? Once the team members have agreed on a design, have an artistically-inclined member draw both sides of the t-shirt. Take the t-shirt to a printer to produce shirts for each team member.

    Team Spirit Through Lockers

    • Middle and high-school students in the United States often decorate lockers to express themselves or their clubs or teams. This is a craft that team members can produce either individually or together using any number of materials. One way to decorate lockers is through magnets; team members can cut the team name and any designs out of construction paper and glue them on the magnets, which they can then stick on their lockers. Another way to decorate lockers is to buy a magnetic notepad for each team member. Team members can then write notes for each other throughout the day.

    Team Spirit Bracelets

    • Team spirit bracelets are a craft that will likely appeal more to young girls than to teenagers, adults or men. Measure your wrist, cut string two inches longer then arrange the three colors in three vertical lines side by side. Knot the three strings at the top and tape the top of the bracelet securely to a surface. Braid the three strings until you reach two inches before the end of the strings. Then knot the top and bottom of the strings together so you can slide the bracelet on and off.
