When did Michael Craig Martin paint the safety pin?

Michael Craig-Martin did not paint a safety pin. He is famous for his conceptual artwork, particularly his "Real" series, which often depicted everyday objects in a minimalist style.

One of his most famous pieces from this series is "An Oak Tree" (1973), which consists of a glass of water on a shelf. The title of the work is the concept being presented, not the physical object itself.

While Craig-Martin has used many other objects in his work, a safety pin has not been a subject of his art.
