Finding fleece in a pattern you like and then choose a contrasting color of fleece. You can also use two solid colors. Purchase at least two yards of each color of fleece.
Open the two pieces of fleece and match them at the corners. If necessary, use straight pins to tack the two pieces of fleece together.
Measure and mark ½-inch wide strips around the outside edge of the fleece. This will be how wide your tie strips will be.
Now measure and mark about 3 inches in from the outside. Do this to all four sides.
Use your scissors to cut strips ½ inch apart 3 inches deep. Keep cutting until there is a fringe all the way around the outside edge of the fleece.
Tie the two pieces of fleece together using a simple overhand knot to secure the ends.
