If your teenager likes Uryu Ishida and wants to dress like him for Halloween or a manga convention you need to do a bit of research to help him prepare. In the world of Bleach, Uryu makes his own outfits and is a part of crafts club in his high school in Japan. Make sure your child knows this and helps you to make the costume.

Uryu has a white outfit to accentuate the differences between him and the Soul Reapers' black kimono. You can get away with karate uniform with black stripes. When Uryu decided to travel to Soul Society, he learns how to use the "sanrei" glove, which increased his resistance the Soul Reapers. Get a white glove and glue some sparkles on it.

To fight Soul Reapers Uryu uses bow (Lone Sparrow, Kojaku) and arrows as opposed to the Soul Reapers, who use "zanpakuto" swords. The bow is luminescent with spirit particles and can be made out of the glow sticks. Glue together two thin flexible glow sticks so they can bend and have a natural curve.
Make two holes about an inch from each end of your large glow stick. String the bow by taking your string and putting it through both holes. Make a large knot. Use 6-inch glow sticks as arrows.

Make sure to get a wig and spectacles for your teenager. Uryu Ishida has a black hair and glasses just like Harry Potter. Surprise your child with the novelty items. Several products based on Uryu's image are available for sale: key chains, plush toys and necklaces. He also has his own CD soundtrack performed by Japanese voiceover actor Noriaki Sugiyama.
