    • Artwell is located in downtown Torrington. It is a not-for-profit community arts center that has an art gallery, as well as art classes. The organization offers classes for children and adults year-round in both fine arts and digital media. The classes are reasonably priced and offered to artists of any level.

    D'Ambruoso Studios

    • Sam D'Ambruoso teaches a still-life drawing and painting class in his private studio in Torrington. The class is limited to no more than six people, beginning to advanced levels, and costs $400. The media used are graphite, charcoal, oil and pastels. The teacher recommends students register far in advance, as the class fills up fast. He offers the course once a year, and it meets once a week for three hours for eight weeks.
