How to Make Your Own Blingee Stamps

Blingee stamps are flashing, blinking, sparkling or transparent backed images, that are used to decorate digital photographs. Blingee stamps allow web users to add some pizazz to their images, which can then be displayed on personal websites, blogs, emails, message boards, newsletters and social networking profiles. Seasonal Blingees are a great way to celebrate special occasions and festivities, such as Christmas, Halloween and Thanksgiving. You can create your own custom made blingee stamps, for personal use or to share with the blingee community, by either using a free online photo editor, or Adobe Photoshop.

Instructions

    • 1

Download the free online software FotoFlexer. Open the digital photo editing software.

    • 2

Click on the "get started" button on the right hand-side of the website's homepage. Click on the "upload a photo from your computer" button, and browse the image files to select the photograph you wish to turn into a blingee stamp. You should now see the full-size selected image on your screen.

    • 3

Click on the "geek" tab, which is located above the image, then click on the "smart scissor" option. Use your cursor to click around the edges of your image; the smart scissor tool will automatically stick to the outside area of your chosen image. When you are happy with the outline, click on the "create cutout" button. This will transform your image into a stamp with a transparent background.

    • 4

Click on the "save" button, located at the top of the page. Save the image as a PNG, as this will help to preserve the transparency of the stamp.

    • 5

Log onto the blingee website. If you don't already have a free account, you can create one by providing a few details and your email address. Click on the "stamp" tab in the tool bar, then click on "upload your own stamp." Select the saved PNG file from your computer, and upload it to the blingee website. You can now use the stamp in your blingees.
