Carry your camera everywhere you go. Be ready to capture images throughout your everyday life. Look closely at the objects you pass each day; at a certain angle, many can appear in the shape of letters. Notice the architectural details, shadows, playground equipment, and shapes formed by trees and vines.
Take several different shots when you find a letter, if possible. Too many images are better than too few. Digital cameras allow you to take multiple shots without wasting film, so take advantage of this feature.
Review your images to see whether you are missing any letters. If you are, continue to look for shots, or create your own letters by arranging common household objects or toys into the right shape. Create a checklist to help keep track of the letters you have found.
View the images in both color and black and white. Use photo editing software if you want additional color options or to enhance the letters. Once you have the images the way you desire, and the phrase you wish to spell out, order prints from a local photo lab or a photo website.
Select the frame and mat for your alphabet art. Each letter can be matted and framed separately, and then hung close together, or the images can be placed in a frame with multiple photo openings.
