Lay a blank piece of paper on a hard surface such as a table or desk. Make sure the surface is smooth and free from abrasions and bumps.
Place a piece of carbon paper on top of the blank paper with the carbon side facing down and tape the two pieces of paper to the hard, even surface.
Place another piece of blank paper on top of the carbon paper and tape it to the surface.
Draw your tattoo design on the top blank page. Use even strokes while applying pressure when drawing your design.
Remove the tape and examine the tattoo design on the paper that you drew on and the one that was on the bottom. The design should have transferred to the bottom piece of paper. This is the sheet to use for your tattoo stencil.
Moisten the part of the skin with water or lotion where you want to apply the tattoo design. To prevent the design from smearing, don't over saturate the skin.
Cut around the design on the paper, leaving approximately 1 inch between the design and the edge of the paper.
Place the cut paper on the moistened skin with the carbon side down. Press your fingers firmly over the design to transfer it to the skin.
