Lay a 24-gauge sterling silver sheet metal on a flat surface. Trace out two circular patterns in the sheet metal using a metal scriber and a 1-inch circular template.
Cut out both circular metal shapes from the sterling silver sheet using a metal cutter.
File down the edges of the sterling silver circles with a jewelry file. Make sure that the silver circles have no sharp edges. Punch a hole toward one top edge area of each silver circle. Make sure not to punch the hole too close to the edge of the silver, and not too far away. This is where a silver jewelry wire could later be attached.
Stamp different patterns on the silver circles using the metal stamps and raw hide mallet from the outer edges in a circular way. Make metal stamps on the inside of the silver circles last.
Press the silver circles flat. Place the silver circles over the circular indent in a wooden dopping block with the front stamped design facing down. Press the circles thoroughly, and make sure that the edges of the silver circles also get formed inside of the dopping block. You should not have two silver circles that have stamped designs on them that are formed into a domed shape.
