Pay attention to where the cuff, or the end, of the suit's jacket lays on your wrist. Re-sew the fabric as necessary if the cuff of the jacket does not end at the base of your thumb when you're wearing the jacket.
Modify the length of the suit's trousers so that the hem, or bottom, of the trousers rests lightly on your shoes. Avoid making this area too loose. You do not want the legs of your suit's trousers to brush against one another as you walk.
Grasp the pants at the top and turn them inside out by pulling the legs up and outward. Measure the inseam which runs from the seat of the trousers to the hem of the trousers. Place a pin to hold the fabric in place once you have determined the optimal inseam length.
Grasp the hem of the trousers and iron the bottom of the trousers to create a clean crease.
Remove the existing stitches of the trousers, and jacket if necessary, by using the stitch remover.
Sew the trouser's hem and jacket sleeves to meet your measurements.
