Different Games for Girls

Different games for girls are designed to help keep them entertained as well as physically active. Games for girls range from dress-up to outdoor sporting games. Depending on your child's age and physical skill level, certain games will be more appropriate for her than others. Playing a variety of different games will also give your child a chance to socialize and interact with her peers.
  1. Sports Games

    • Sports games for girls are designed to improve your child's physical endurance, strength and coordination. Sports games for girls range from soccer to volleyball and from softball to tennis. Individual sports such as golf and tennis test your child's accuracy and fluidity with a static object, like a club or racket. Team sports, such as soccer and hockey, focus on your child's ability to interact and communicate with other players.

    Dress-Up Games

    • Dress-up games for girls allow your child to use her imagination to try on different outfits and combinations. While your child can play a variety of different dress-up games online, such as "Barbie on Vacation" and "Safari Adventure," she can also play dress-up using a pile of your old clothes and hats. Have her and her friends take turns putting on different outfits and trying to imitate their favorite celebrities or movie stars.

    Video Games

    • While video games do not often cater to girls, several select video games are designed to appeal to a young female market. Classic Sega games like "Barbie Vacation Adventure" as well as newer games like Wii "Sports Resort" have a variety of levels and games your child can play and engage with. In addition, the Wii fit allows your child to physically engage herself in the game, helping her stay active and fit while playing a video game.

    Drawing Games

    • Design and drawing games can be played either online or at home with paper, markers, crayons and whatever else your child may want to use. Have your child get with a group of her friends and assign them a specific person, place or thing to draw. Have them each draw their own interpretation, and give them scores according to accuracy, creativity and precision. Make sure everybody wins in this game by complimenting something about each girl's drawing.
