How to Make a Pig Using Text Art

Text art, or ASCII art, is a type of art in which the image is made up of printable characters. This type of art ranges from the extremely simple, such as a smiley face, to the extremely complex, such as a full photograph reproduction, complete with shading. Though it may seem restricting, you can create almost anything using the characters on your computer's keyboard, including a simple text art representation of a pig.

Instructions

      Open the computer's default text editing program, and start a new document. For Windows users, this program is "Notepad." For Mac users, this program is "TextEdit."

      Press and hold the "Shift" key ,and press the "6" key to insert a caret symbol into the document. The first line of your pig character should now resemble this:

      Press the spacebar, followed by the period key to insert a space and a period into the document. Press the spacebar a second time, followed by the period key to insert a second space and a second period into the document. The first line of your pig character should now resemble this:

      Press the spacebar a third time. Press and hold the "Shift" key, and press the "6" key to insert a second caret into the document. The first line of your pig character should now resemble this:

      Press the "Enter" Key to jump down to the next line of the document.

      Press and hold the "Shift" key, and press the "9" key to insert a parenthesis into the document. Your pig character should now resemble this:

      Press the spacebar to insert a space. Press the "o" key twice to insert to "o's" as nostrils. Your pig character should now resemble this:

      Press the spacebar to insert a space. Press and hold the "Shift" key, and press the "0" key to insert a parenthesis into the document. Your pig character is now complete and should resemble this:
