Organizations That Use the Infinity Symbol

The Romans originally used the infinity symbol, written like a horizontal numeral "8," to indicate a number was very large. Mathematician John Walis first used the symbol to denote the concept of infinity in the 17th century. Today there are many different types of organizations that use the infinity symbol as part of their logo.
  1. Mos Milano

    • Mos Milano is a Italian company specializing in the manufacture of luxury goods. It was formed in 2008 by Aldo Lopez and his wife Paola Maganzini. The company's name refers to the Latin word for fashion, "mos," and the Italian city of Milan, a center of the Italian fashion industry. Mos Milano makes jewelry, handbags and eyewear, using high-quality materials and skilled craftsmen. The infinity symbol is used in discreet ways on the company's products and is incorporated prominently into their logo.

    Infinite Corporation

    • Infinity Corporation, an information technologies company, formed in 1975 and currently has four offices around the world, including its world headquarters in Laguna Niguel, California. Infinity Corporation specializes in providing tools to its customers that enable them to make older computer applications work with newer operating systems. They also sell and service data servers. Infinity Corporation's logo is a stylized orange infinity symbol that uses right angles instead of curves to produce the familiar shape.

    Body Piercing

    • Infinite Body Piercing, which opened in 1995, was the first dedicated piercing shop in Philadelphia and it continues to hold that distinction today. The shop is the only one in the Philadelphia area to be a member of the Association of Professional Piercers. Infinite Body Piercing has three piercers on its staff and offers a wide variety of services including ear, nostril and lip piercing. Its logo features an infinity symbol inside an ellipse.

    Bay Area Council

    • The Bay Area Council formed in 1945 to promote the interests of the business communities of the nine counties that make up the San Francisco Bay Area of California. At time of publication, more than 275 major regional employers have representatives of their business on the council. The council is currently working to being high-speed rail and the 2020 World Expo to California. Its logo is an asymmetrical grey and red infinity symbol.
