How to Mix Basic Colors to Make Silver

The art of mixing colors to make just the right shade for your project begins with a basic knowledge of color combinations. Red, blue and green -- the three primary colors -- can be combined to make any color. Adding white or black allows you to fine tune your new color so that it becomes the exact shade that you need. Making silver from these colors requires a little knowledge and the patience to keep mixing until you get the perfect shade.
