How to Make Your Own Henna Mix

  • ¼ cup organic powdered henna leaves
  • ¼ cup organic lemon juice
  • 1 glass mixing bowl
  • 1 mixing spoon
  • 1 measuring spoon
  • 1 ½ tsp. organic cane sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp.organic lavender essential oil

Instructions

  1. Preparing The Henna Mix

    • 1

      Gather the organic powdered henna leaves, measure them out to ¼ of a cup, and place them into the small glass mixing bowl.

      Take the organic lemon Juice, measure it out to ¼ of a cup, and add it to the powdered henna leaves.

      Stir the henna mixture with the mixing spoon until both the powder and lemon juice are evenly combined, leaving no lumps, and/or dry powder left unmixed in the bowl.

      After the henna mixture has reached to a consistency similar to tooth paste, add 1 ½ tsp. of organic cane sugar and 1 ½ tsp.of organic lavender essential oil into the bowl. Stir the henna mixture again until it acquires an even creamy texture.

      Place the plastic wrap over the bowl and press down to remove all air pockets from the mixture. Set the henna mixture aside in an area that is roughly between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit for 24 hours or until the dye is released from the henna leaves.

      Once the dye has been released from the mixture after 24 hours, the henna tattoo mix is ready to be placed into an applicator and used to create a beautiful work of body art.
