TACA Tennessee Crafts

Founded in 1965, the Tennessee Association of Craft Artists has more than 500 members. An independent, not-for-profit organization that promotes crafts in Tennessee, TACA is primarily run by volunteers. TACA promotes a variety of artisans and orchestrates large art fairs in the spring and the fall at Centennial Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
  1. The Fairs

    • TACA holds juried art fairs that require artists to submit pictures and apply for permission to exhibit their work. The fairs provide quality exhibits and give visitors the opportunity to learn about fine art. Artists demonstrate their skills to the guests and answer questions. Many budding artists attend juried shows in the hopes of learning new techniques.

    The Art

    • A wide variety of art types are on display at the fairs. Silversmiths who craft fine jewelry, potters with a variety of styles, glassworkers who blow glass and artists who create stained glass pieces all have displays at the fair. Also present are woodworkers with handcrafted furniture and decorative pieces on display. Other artists include wood and clay sculptors, bookmakers, painters, tapestry artists and jewelers who make their own glass beads.
