The film Avatar how did they create Jake legs?

Jake Sully's legs were created using a combination of practical effects and CGI. For the live-action scenes, actor Sam Worthington wore a green screen suit with motion capture markers. This allowed the filmmakers to track his movements and create a digital model of his legs. The digital model was then used to create the final computer-generated imagery (CGI) of Jake's legs.

In addition to the CGI, the filmmakers also used practical effects to create Jake's legs. They built a full-size replica of his wheelchair, which was used in the scenes where he is confined to it. They also created a pair of prosthetic legs that Worthington wore for the scenes where he is standing or walking.

The combination of practical effects and CGI allowed the filmmakers to create a realistic and believable representation of Jake's legs. This was essential to the success of the film, as Jake's legs are a key part of his character and his journey.
