How do you hook up your amp to factory radio?

To hook up an amp to your factory radio, you will need the following items:

* An amplifier

* An amplifier wiring kit

* A set of RCA cables

* A screwdriver

* A pair of pliers

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will prevent any electrical shocks while you are working.

2. Remove the factory radio from the dashboard. This is usually done by removing a few screws and then pulling the radio out.

3. Locate the speaker wires on the back of the factory radio. These are typically color-coded, so you should be able to easily identify them.

4. Connect the RCA cables to the speaker wires on the back of the factory radio. The red RCA cable should be connected to the right speaker wire, and the white RCA cable should be connected to the left speaker wire.

5. Run the RCA cables to the amplifier.

6. Connect the amplifier wiring kit to the amplifier and the battery. The red wire should be connected to the positive battery terminal, the black wire should be connected to the negative battery terminal, and the yellow wire should be connected to the remote turn-on wire on the back of the factory radio.

7. Turn on the amplifier and the factory radio. The amplifier should now be working and you should be able to hear sound coming through the speakers.

Note: If you are not comfortable performing this task yourself, you can always have it done by a professional audio installer.
