Pier 1 Imports, Inc., commonly known as Pier 1, was an American retailer of furniture and home goods with more than 500 stores in the United States and Canada. Founded in 1962, the company was headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. Pier 1 filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February 2020 and announced the closure of all its stores shortly after. It ceased operations in May 2020.
