How to Deckle the Edges of a Mat on a Painting
Mats are an important part to framing art. They can crop the art as much or as little as the artist likes, narrowing the focus of the viewer to one area. A deckled mat has scalloped ridges around the edge of the art. This is a decorative element that can you can add to a plain mat with just one tool.
