1. Choose the location of your shed. Assemble shed outdoors on a level surface such as concrete or a solid wood deck
2. Lay out all parts and sort by type and size. Please be sure inventory comes complete.
3. Read the Assembly Manual completely before starting to assemble the shed. The shed requires two persons to assemble
4. Follow all steps in order according to the assembly instructions.
- Power Drill
- Electric screwdriver or ratchet
- Rubber mallet
- Level
- Tape measure
- Select a level surface for the shed.
- Concrete or asphalt is the best foundation, but the shed can also be placed on a solid wooden deck.
- If you are placing the shed on a wooden deck, make sure the deck is thick enough to support the weight of the shed and its contents.
- If you are placing the shed on a lawn or other soft surface, you will need to build a foundation of concrete blocks or pavers.
- The shed walls are made up of four panels: one front panel, two side panels, and one back panel.
- Lay the front panel on a flat surface and attach the side panels to it using the provided screws.
- Stand the assembled front and side wall panels up and attach the back panel to them using the provided screws.
- The roof of the shed is made up of two pieces: a front roof panel and a back roof panel.
- Lay the front roof panel on a flat surface and attach the back roof panel to it using the provided screws.
- Stand the assembled roof panel over the shed walls and attach it using the screws.
- The door of the shed is made up of two pieces: a door panel and a door frame.
- Lay the door panel on a flat surface and attach the door frame to it using the provided screws.
- Stand the assembled door panel up and attach it to the shed walls using the provided screws.
- The floor of the shed is made up of two pieces: a front floor panel and a back floor panel.
- Lay the front floor panel on a flat surface and attach the back floor panel to it using the provided screws.
- Stand the assembled floor panel over the shed walls and attach it using the screws.
- The Rubbermaid Vertical Storage Shed comes with various optional shelves and accessories that you can install.
- Assemble these items and installed them in the shed as desired.
- Once the shed is assembled, you need to secure it from wind damage.
- Use 2" x 4"s secured to the ground, or use shed anchor kits with the shed
- It takes two people to assemble the shed, so make sure you have a friend or family member to help you.
- Read the assembly instructions carefully before starting to assemble the shed.
- Take your time and make sure you follow all the steps in order.
- Use a power drill and electric screwdriver to make the assembly process easier.
