Was Wolfgang amadeus Mozart interested in fencing?

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart did show interest in fencing, or at least he mentioned it briefly in his letters to his cousin Maria Thekla Mozart. In one letter from February 1778, Mozart wrote about a fencing match he had with his friend Carl Thomas Mozart, Maria Thekla's husband. He mentioned that he was learning the art of fencing and was quite enthusiastic about it. However, there is no evidence to suggest that Mozart pursued fencing seriously or became a proficient fencer. His primary focus remained on music and composition throughout his life.
