Stratford-upon-Avon is a market town and civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon District, in the county of Warwickshire, England, on the River Avon, 18 miles (29 km) south west of the county town, Warwick, 24 miles (39 km) east south east of Birmingham and 8 miles (13 km) north west of Banbury, Oxfordshire.
