How to Use LED in Constructing a Message Display

Use a light-emitting diode, or LED, in constructing a message display. An LED is a semiconductor diode. It gives off light whenever a current passes directly through it. The electrons go through the semiconductor, then give off light. A manufacturer will program the LED to project certain colors and display messages. Give a personalized LED to family and friends as gifts. Surprise business associates with an LED that showcases the slogan or name of their company.

Push the power switch to turn on the fan. Look for three additional buttons that are responsible for programming messages. Push the center programming button. Hold it down for several seconds. A flashing cursor will be displayed on the LED.
