What are the costumes for itik dance?

Female Costume

- Blouse : a short sleeved, collarless blouse made of silky material, usually in a contrasting colour to the tapis (wrap skirt).

- Tapis : a long wrap skirt made of batik or other type of patterned fabric.

- Selendang (shawl) : worn over the shoulders. Its length can reach the hips.

- Head cover : a piece of scarf is wrapped and tied around the head.

- Accessories: a scarf around the waist of hips. Sometimes, a jewellery such as a necklace or bracelet is also wore.

Male Costume

- Teluk Belanga (shirt) : a long sleeved, loose and collarless shirt, generally made of a dark colour fabric.

- Kain Samping : a piece of fabric worn around the waist. The most common type is the cekak Musang pattern, which is black with golden floral motifs at one end.

- Songkok : a traditional Malay headgear or hat, usually made of velvet or songket.

- Keris : a ceremonial dagger worn on the waist as an indication of social status.

- Accessories : a piece of scarf or batik cloth tied loosely around the neck, known as sampir.
