In Irish culture do men wear Claddagh rings or is that exclusively a female custom?

Both men and women wear Claddagh rings in Irish culture. Traditionally, the ring is given as a symbol of love, friendship, or loyalty, and can be worn on either the left or right hand. When worn on the left hand, with the heart facing towards the body, it is said to signify that the person is married or in a committed relationship. When worn on the right hand, with the heart facing outwards, it is said to signify that the person is single and available for a relationship.
