How much does stage crew make?
Stage crew members earn an
average hourly wage of
$15 to $20 per hour. However, wages can vary depending on level of experience, type of production, and location. For example, stage crew members working on a Broadway show in New York City may earn
up to $30 an hour, while those working on a small community theater production may only earn
$10 to $15 an hour.
In addition to hourly wages, stage crew members may also receive overtime pay, per diem, and travel expenses. Overtime pay is typically offered for more than eight hours of work in a single day or 40 hours of work in a single week. Per diem is a daily allowance for meals and incidentals when traveling for work. Travel expenses may include transportation, lodging, and meals.
