- Cardboard or poster board
- Scissors or a craft knife
- A ruler
- A pencil
- Glue
- Paint (optional)
- Other decorations (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cut out the following pieces from the cardboard or poster board:
- A rectangle that is 12 inches wide and 8 inches tall for the base of the theater.
- Two rectangles that are 6 inches wide and 8 inches tall for the sides of the theater.
- A rectangle that is 4 inches wide and 6 inches tall for the back of the theater.
- A triangle that is 4 inches wide and 4 inches tall for the roof of the theater.
2. Score and fold the pieces along the following lines:
- The longer sides of the base rectangle so that it can be folded in half.
- The top edge of the sides of the theater rectangles.
- The bottom edge of the back of the theater rectangle.
3. Glue the pieces together to assemble the theater:
- Glue the sides of the theater to the base, aligning the top edges of the sides with the score line on the base.
- Glue the back of the theater to the sides, aligning the bottom edge of the back with the score line on the sides.
- Glue the roof of the theater to the sides and back of the theater, aligning the edges of the roof with the tops of the sides and back.
4. Paint the theater and add other decorations as desired.
Additional Tips:
- Use a sturdy cardboard or poster board to make sure the theater is durable.
- If you don't have access to a ruler, use a piece of paper that is 8.5 inches wide and 11 inches long to measure and cut out the pieces.
- You can also use construction paper or other materials to make the theater.
- Be creative with the decorations! You can add flags, banners, or other details to make your theater unique.
