How to Make Fake Blood the Chemical Way
Creating your own props and effects for the stage, a video or costume party can be fun and interesting. There are many recipes for fake blood that you can easily make at home. Some recipes use only edible ingredients, such as red food dye, chocolate sauce and corn starch. These non-toxic edible recipes are best for use in or around the mouth, eyes or nose. For scenes requiring larger amounts of realistic blood elsewhere on the body or the set, often it is better to use fake blood made from chemical, rather than food-based, ingredients. Chemical ingredients won't spoil or attract insects the way organic ingredients can.
