In the film who is Damien?

In the film, Damien is the young boy who is the Antichrist, unknowingly born of a human woman after Satan impregnates her. He is taken in and raised by American ambassador Robert Thorn and his wife Katherine. Damien grows up with a supernatural ability to control people and cause harm, and eventually leads to a series of mysterious deaths.
