What was the first movie ever made and who played roles?

The Roundhay Garden Scene (1888) is considered to be the first motion picture ever made. Taken at the Roundhay Hall Estate in Leeds, England on October 14th, 1888, it was filmed by Louis Le Prince, a French inventor, early filmmaker and cinema pioneer, using his single-lens camera. This 1.66 second movie depicts Adolphe Le Prince (Louis' son), Sarah Whitley, and Joseph Whitley all walking, and it is the earliest known example of people being captured in motion on celluloid.
