Is there a real story like the face on milk carton?

Yes, the 1985 case of Etan Patz, a 6-year-old boy from New York City who disappeared, resulted in the first case of a missing child being shown on a milk carton. The idea was the brainchild of Missing Children founder John Walsh. The program became a huge success and led to the recovery of many missing children, including Patz's older sister, Sheila, who was found three years after Etan's disappearance.
