Who was the first playwrite?

Thespis is credited as being the first actor and the very first playwright when he began the practice of stepping forth and acting out a dialogue between his character and that of the chorus leader around 534 BCE with his famous "Answering Songs." These exchanges would often tell entire, self-contained narratives that were sometimes based on mythological themes while still retaining some improvisational spontaneity that would help create an emotional reaction from the Athenian citizenry to political events of their present moment.
