How do you punctuate the title of a play?

Titles of plays should be italicized. If the title is a complete sentence or ends with a question mark or an exclamation point, it is followed by a period inside the closing italics mark. If it ends with any other punctuation mark, it is outside.

*Examples:*

*"*Hamlet*"

*"The Importance of Being Earnest."*
