Who is suitor in the beginning of play?

In the beginning of the play, there are two suitors: Bassanio and Lorenzo. Bassanio is a friend of Antonio, the merchant of Venice. He has come to Venice to woo Portia, a rich heiress. Lorenzo is a Venetian nobleman who is also in love with Portia.
